St David's Hospital

We only have two photographs of St David's Hospital in Maffra - this one, and another almost exactly the same, taken at the same time.

Hundreds of local babies were born there - surely someone out there has a better photograph? If you do, we would really appreciate a copy.

It was demolished many years ago.

Looking at Johnson Street

We have been beavering away on a Powerpoint presentation (that is, showing photographs on computer screens), to show some images of how Johnson Street in Maffra was over the years. We have plenty of buildings such as the Post Office, above, before it was demolished, but are always looking for more of other areas of the street.

We have to have the presentation at the Museum tomorrow, Sunday, while the vintage cars are in town. And at the museum at various times after that. So if you have old photographs of Johnson Street that you would allow us to copy, we would really like to have a look at them.
